The Suit is a musical play based on short story written by the late South African journalist and playwright Can Themba. The play tells the story of a husband who arrives home to find his wife in bed with another man. In a hurried escape, the man leaves his suit behind. As a punishment and reminder of her infidelity, the husband orders his wife to treat the suit as an honoured guest.
In a video interview by the Guardian, director Peter Brook discusses the links between the apartheid era and today's political protests, as well as his interest in the play.
The Suit will be performed from May 21 - June 16, 2012 at the Young Vic in London.
